Whiplash

Whiplash is a common neck injury that often occurs during rear-end automobile collisions. The extreme motions associated with whiplash push your neck muscles and ligaments beyond their normal range of motion. Most people experience neck pain immediately after the injury but some do not feel any discomfort or movement restriction until several days later. Other symptoms of whiplash may include the following: neck stiffness, headache, dizziness, numbness/tingling, shoulder pain, and back pain.
